The majority of the beach near the Koper city centre is covered by grass, but you can also find some trees that will let you cool off during the hot summer days or you can rent parasols and deckchairs during the swimming season. Children will enjoy the tidy sandbox and playground and the beach is also equipped with toilets and changing cabins. The beach is covered in pebbles, while the entrance to the sea is suitable for children, since the water along the beach is shallow. You can also jump into the water from the pier. You can find a confectionery and a restaurant on the beach, which is guarded by lifeguards during the visitor’s hours of the swimming season (from 15 June to 30 September). The beach proudly displays a Blue Flag, which marks its clean water and the cleanliness of the beach. Entrance to the beach is free, which is why it is visited by locals and tourists, who long for a swim in the sea during the summer months.
