Mavine Cottage is located at the Sands of Sound beach so each morning was started with a cup of coffee and reviewing the weather while enjoying the restful view. The cottage was an easy walk to groceries and bus stops. Actually we walked to the Town Square several times easily from the cottage. The linens and water pressure were all good. There was a nice assortment of walk/map materials to aid us. If we can manage another trip to 60 degrees North, hopefully Mavine Cottage is available.

Das Cottage war sehr gemütlich, sauber und gut eingerichtet, es war alles da, was man brauchte. Die Lage ist ruhig und strandnah mit Meerblick. Da wir kein Auto hatten, war es für uns wichtig, dass alles fussläufig erreichbar ist: der Supermarkt Tesco ist in 10-15 Minuten erreichbar, das Stadtzentrum in 25-30 Minuten.
Der Kontakt mit Lois war sehr gut, sie antwortete immer innerhalb weniger Minuten, max. in einer Stunde. Der Umgang, sowie ein- und auschecken waren sehr unkompliziert.
Wir würden dieses Cottage wieder mieten, obwohl wir es etwas teuer fanden für die Nebensaison. Wir haben aber keinen Preisvergleich für Shetland.

Perfect location for touring all of the Shetland Isles.

Lois was a great host and allowed us to check in early which was really appreciated.
