Carleton College in Northfield has the Cowling Arboretum which includes miles of hiking and cross country ski trails on the north side of campus.

If you love hiking, you must walk the trails of Carleton. Along the cannon river, you can hike and fish and bike (I think you can) in the trail at the west part of the college land. The back of the college is also a must with ponds connected to each other and bridges and islands. It is beautiful all year round.
