“La Chascona” is currently a museum house, whose destiny is to share the life of the poet Pablo Neruda by opening up access to all the inner spaces where he lived and created. Among other collections, it houses an interesting art gallery, with paintings by Chilean and foreign artists from all times. There is also an African carved wood collection and another collection of furniture and objects from designer Piero Fornasetti. Certainly there are also Neruda's spaces, his dining room, with its original China and silverware.

The Chascona began to be built by Pablo Neruda in 1953, in honor of Matilde Urrutia, then his secret love.
