cool walking park within walking distance. The hours are sort of dumb they are closed every evening at 6 in summer, 5 in winter and Mondays all year plus Sunday in winter. But it;s worth it.

Established long ago with the goal of making a place large enough for kids to have a natural experience within the city limits. Nature center at the entrance; frequent scheduled events and guided walks. Quiet trails bordering the West Seattle golf course. Rock climbing practice areas (check with the park for terms of use); self-guided exercise routes.
