Surprisingly good museum detailing Marstal's extraordinary success as a port and shipping centre. If you can read Carsten Jensen's novel " We the Drowned" as well. Little Marstal was Denmark's second port - so important that the British even attacked the fleet here during the Napoleonic wars.
Amazing museum that tells the history of Ærø maritime life, with great art and perfect for kids and families
