Crew Bar is very popular (but not exclusive) among the gay community in Cape Town. Boasting an upstairs and downstairs dance floor, party-goers can expect the latest pop and dance anthems downstairs, while upstairs – which is usually only open on the weekends – the bass is dropped to give dancers a more eclectic vibe. Open Monday - Sunday 7pm until late

Cape Town's gay scene has been centred in de Waterkant for decades and the longest surviving club is Crew Bar. If you're after a night out on the pink strip, Crew is probably one not to miss. It's open pretty much every night but is busiest on weekends. It's not huge, but then few places in Cape Town are, it's packed with gogo boys, locals and tourists all enjoying a good dance into the early hours of the morning.
