The town is very well preserved, make sure you have a full day or even two to visit. There is a lot to see and read about the lives of those who came in search of Gold in the mid 1800s through mid 1900s. See how family’s lived and shared a harsh lifestyle, including the Chinese and other immigrants. There are knowledgeable characters dressed in costume representing the time period.
