An eco-architecture and land art project that has not upset the natural environment in the slightest, but rather has placed it at the center of attention, to be integrated for one day a year with what is necessary for the technical production of an international level show. At the end of the show every year, with the utmost respect for the environment, everything is removed the same night and restored to its natural state, returning to be a place of silent meditation and rest of the soul.” Host to Andrea Bocelli’s famous opera festival in July & August, as well as numerous other productions. Teatro del Silenzio is an open natural theater in the beautiful countryside of Lajatico where every year Andrea Bocelli has his own concert. It is a real happening with people coming from all over the world and many important VIP guests partecipate. If you wish to go, buy the tickets in advance.

On July 27 2023,the highly-anticipated, incredible, must-see international event will be held once again - the famous concert that will see the countryside of Lajatico, Andrea Bocelli’s hometown, transformed into the world capital of great music and great beauty. Nestled within the graceful abundance of the Tuscan hills, we will find the thematic heart expressed through the music that will vibrate on the stage of the Teatro del Silenzio in that mysterious and powerful energy that flows between two phonemes... Two words that speak of us all and that strive for the absolute: Nature and Beauty. Nature, the totality of a perfect system that we are both part of and the result of; Beauty, a marvel of a quality that blossoms wherever life expresses itself in harmony with the rest of creation. Once again, it will be song (and the voice of the most beloved tenor in the world) to cast the spell and bestow the spectators with an unforgettable experience beneath the Tuscan stars. The fifteenth edition of the Teatro del Silenzio will reinvent the experience of opera music, making it a memorable journey, to be embarked upon with Andrea Bocelli and many of his friends, big international stars who have been applauded in the most important theaters throughout the world. We will find them in the informal and extremely special atmosphere of the birthplace of Maestro Bocelli, sharing with the audience those ingenious creations that undoubtedly express the best of the best: the greatest composers, the best loved songs and the most popular classics, mixed with utterly magnificent choreography - which is now the distinctive signature of the Teatro del Silenzio - and stage designs that will feature the sculptures of an artist who is already in the history books and universally renowned (whose name will soon be announced), under the artistic direction of Alberto Bartalini. More than ever, the stunning backdrop of the hilly Tuscan skyline will be the star of a “once-in-a-lifetime” event inspired by nature (a source of beauty), as well as the respect and care it requires, at the risk of our own extinction. In the words of Andrea Bocelli, real beauty “can be felt but not grasped, and is closely connected to good”. Beauty will save the world, said Prince Miškin in Dostoevsky's famous novel. However, the ancient Greeks were speaking about an ideal to strive for much earlier than this in their concept of kalòs kai agathòs (beautiful and good). The fifteenth edition of the Teatro del Silenzio concert-event will feature a spectacular array of acoustic and visual art and will be a marathon of emotion dedicated to beauty, its ethical significance and its redeeming power, because it is the essential element for finding a clear and sensible view of nature, as our lives and that of our children depend on it being in harmony.
