The Hong Kong West Kowloon Station is the cross-boundary gateway for High Speed Rail in Hong Kong. The building is distinct from conventional station designs with its dynamic atrium space supported by nine sets of columns, the tallest of which reaches 45 metres up to the curved roof above. Another stand-out feature of the station design is the giant curtain wall, which comprises 4,000 irregular glass panels to maximise daylight penetration. The station features artworks by artists from Hong Kong, Mainland China and around the world. One can also walk along the Sky Corridor atop the roof of the station to access the observation deck and enjoy a panoramic view of Victoria Harbour.
