Maitlands is a big sandy Beach 5 min drive from our property. Not great for beginners to swim in due to the waves. It does however gets busy in season and weekends.

WHERE Maitlands, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape Maitland Beach, known by locals simply as Maitlands, is an exquisite beach that is expansive and pristine. It is known for its seemingly endless stretches of white sand, but even more so for its enormous sand dunes. These dunes continue to be hugely popular for sandboarding and tobogganing amongst old and young alike. Maitland Beach lies at the mouth of the Maitland River, extending from just outside Beachview to beyond Bluewater Bay.
