Bogong Village and Lake Guy are picturesque. Take a picnic and some drinks and relax by the rivers or the lake itself. Tennis courts are available for use at the mountain end of the lake, over the bridge finds a seculded picnic stop and toilets. Take a ramble around the entire dam, 1 hour loop. watch for snakes

Halfway between Mount Beauty and Falls Creek on the Bogong High Plains Road, Bogong Village is a beautiful place to kick back in a tranquil environment surrounded by the Alpine National Park and overlooking Lake Guy. Although Bogong Village accommodation/shop was closed in February 2021, it is still a stunning place to visit in any season. Drive down to "The Junction" and cross the bridge (confluence of the Rocky Valley and Pretty Valley Rivers). Park in the carpark (toilets provided) and explore the picnic ground and rivers! Perfect place for swimming during the warmer summer months. Cross the footbridge and follow the trail along the edge of Lake Guy to the dam wall. Return the same way. 5km return.
