Great hike to a local diving area. The devils punch bowl. Watch people jump of high rocks and from the bridge into the frigid cold water of lake crescent. The trail is pet friendly.

This is a flat but beautiful hike that travels around the edge of Lake Crescent—great for kids or people who need to take it easy but still enjoy the outdoors. Dogs are actually allowed on this hike!

Access the trailhead from East Beach Road (road has been closed due to a fire so you may need to access from the Hwy 112 side). Level paved walk along the old spruce railroad trail. Enjoy views of Storm King and Lake Crescent Lodge from the trail along the water. You'll walk through two old train…

“Located just a couple miles down the road from the turn off to the Wapiti Rose, this is a great all season hike. It's especially good if you are getting here early, before check in time.”

Waterfall
“This is a great hike for the whole family. The only part that is a bit difficult is the stairs at the falls. You can choose not to complete that part of the hike and it is still a beautiful hike. ”

Natural Feature
“This is a fairly aggressive hike and is not recommended for small children or non experienced hikers. Well worth it if you are up to it for a keeper photo. Reward yourself with a great meal at the Lake Crescent Lodge when you get back down”

“ The Hall of Mosses is the name of a distinct hiking trail in Olympic National Park, located in the Hoh Rainforest. Plucked straight from a storybook, the trail is filled with old trees—a mixture of temperate bigleaf maples and Sitka spruces—draped in green and brown mosses. Along the main trail, there is an otherworldly 200-foot side path which leads to an enchanting grove of giant maple trees, cloaked in hanging moss. One visitor to the trail wrote that “the trees stand like green-robed figures of eld.” ”
