The Toolenburgerplas, near the Hoofddorp district of Toolenburg, is a paradise for sun lovers and "non-motorized water sports enthusiasts". Here you can swim, surf and sunbathe. Cycling and walking are also possible. The design of the recreational lake is inspired by the surrounding polder. Rectangular shapes are interspersed with winding banks, winding paths and ragged edges.
