Former Nobu chef Masaki Sugisaki now has outposts of Dinings in the well-heeled honeypots of Chelsea and Tel Aviv but this cramped Marylebone townhouse is where he established himself as one of London’s most inventive Japanese chefs. Fish from Cornish dayboats is crafted into finely wrought sushi and sashimi at a ground-floor counter, potato tacos might be filled with lobster with jalapeño mayonnaise, while hot stuff includes Wagyu steak with wasabi salsa. Book well ahead: the tiny dimensions mean this is not somewhere to drop into on the off-chance.

The finest sushi in town, which has become a real destination for those who like to titillate their taste buds. The chef likes his truffles and foie gras :).
