The peaceful Ayios Minas working monastery (very prominent in Greek Orthodox religion) dates back to the 15th century. Nuns prepare homemade preserves which can be purchased there. There's is also a Sunday mass. 5 minutes drive from the villa.

This is a great old monastery if you want to get a taste of the Cyprus rich Byzantine past. There are also wineries around the monastery and other small villages around.
