Ήταν εκεί που ο Διονύσιος Σολωμός εμπνεύστηκε τον Εθνικό ύμνο της Ελλάδος «Ύμνος Εις την Ελευθερία» καθώς άκουγε τους κανονιοβολισμούς από το Μεσολόγγι. Θα δείτε έναν στήλο που έχει την προτομή του ποιητή στην κορυφή – στο σημείο αυτό βρισκόταν ένα πουρνάρι και ήταν ακριβώς εκεί που καθόταν ο Διονύσιος Σολωμός όταν εμπνεύστηκε τον εθνικό ύμνο.

Strani’s Hill is a beautiful wooded place that offers a captivating view. This was one of Dionysios Solomos favorite places; it was here that the poet was inspired, from canonnades in Mesologgi, and wrote the “Hymn to Liberty” that later became Greece’s National Anthem. At a short distance on top of the hill there is Solomo’s mansion, while at the small square in front of it one may see his bust.

On the hill above the town in Bochali area stands the Venetian Castle of Zakynthos reminding the Venetian presence on the island for four centuries as well as the historical "Stranis Hill", where Dinysios Solomos inspired the lyrics of the Greek anthem, and the traditional perfumery "Razis "(Since 1963).
