The 23 old Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi is the architect of this magnificent fontaine. Furthermore he gave the creation of the liberty statue of NY.

Cette statue construite par Bartholdi représente la Garonne... et non le Rhône ou la Saône car elle avait initialement été dessinée pour la ville de Bordeaux

La fontaine Bartholdi se situe place des Terreaux, dans le centre de la ville de Lyon. Elle a été réalisée par le sculpteur Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi et inaugurée en 1892 sous le nom Char triomphal de la Garonne.
