Located in what was originally the stables, the Wreckers Retreat Bar serves locally sourced food and ales all year round from 11.00am daily. Recently refurbished and full of character, the bar features memorabilia charting the history of Hartland Quay, the many films and TV shows filmed here over the years as well as details of some of the shipwrecks in the area over the centuries. Dogs on leashes are welcome – when accompanied by well behaved owners! Lunch is served from 12.00pm to 2.30pm, dinner from 6.00pm with last sittings at 8.30pm. There is a small snack menu served on weekends and during school holidays from 3.00pm to 5.00pm. During the busy season, it is advisable to book in advance for our indoor tables and for the moment, we won’t have a roast available on a Sunday. As usual, outdoor tables are on a first come, first served basis and not bookable.

Hartland Quay to Welcombe Mouth Beautiful walk along the South West Coast Path that is not too challenging and takes in views of Lundy and Speke's Mill Mouth waterfall.
