The Grand Arche is a modern replic of l'Arc de triumph and it forms the final point of the axe, Grand Arche, l'arc de triumph and another arc of Roman times in front of Louvre. I would recommend that you climbe on the stairs and try to look for l'arc the triumph. Otherwise take metro line 1 at the foot of the flat, all the best Paris sightseeing places are served on that line.
