There are only steep paths to the top of this hill fort, which boasts the most impressive earthworks of any in the area.

Ancient fortress/settlement, the shape of the hill is extraordinary - a steep climb, with great views when you reach the top, my children loved this walk when they were young! The Saxon Arms is a nice pub just a short drive along the road for refreshment and recover afterwards.

Bit of a drive but great. Good walk and can be combined with a swim at Blandord Leisure centre if poorer weather
