Auter Alster lake, the best residential area in Hamburg. Houses surrounding the lake form the historic Hamburg front line. Very famous with locals for running / cycling around. Surrounded by green park and is very nice to walk around in the summer. A walk takes about 1.5 - 2 hours and is 8 km long. I highly recommend to walk around all surrounding area and visit all small streets to see very beautiful old buildings

sehr zu empfehlen ist ein langer Spaziergang um die Außenalster, ca 8 km, für sportliche die schönste Joggingstrecke Hamburgs Very recommendable is a long walk around the Außenalster, about 8 km, for sporty people the most beautiful jogging route of Hamburg

In summer this place is amazing for walking and laying in the sun, having ice-cream.. throughout the year its mostly famous for all the joggers, since on round has about 7,4 km of lenght.
