This park is very nice and literally a hop, skip, and jump away from Carolina Dreamin'. It is placed right beside the public parking for the beach access. It has a a toddler section and a big kid section, themed as ships. Nice area for working out as well with a bit of equipment provided. As well as a covered picnic area. The convenience of location is my favorite part!

When the kiddos need a break from the sand... right down the road & just off the beach - (a straight shot ~10min walk from 9th St., but parking is available as well) - is a great/newly constructed playground facility with picnic areas. There's lots of pirate themed attractions for kids of various ages - with a few specialty features (i.e., "mom & me" swings, handicap accessible swing, & press & listen learning features). The young ones in our fam enjoy visits here and it's lovely scenery for us to pass some time while they play. Crowds may build up a bit on Saturdays as families often opt to stretch their legs here awaiting check-in times, but its spacious and usually parking isn't an issue from what we've seen!
