Beautiful walking, running, and mountain biking trail. Dog Friendly. Park at the old steel bridge parking lot. The bridge was built in 1929.

2.3 miles round trip, easy Hiking/biking route in the SD National Wildlife Refuge. Several trails offer all levels of terrain. No restrooms. Parking lot is quite small so go there early or go later. Hike begins at the historic Sweetwater River Bridge. Cross the bridge, look to the right for 2 large boulders which marks the beginning of the trail. The refuge is home to some threatened and endangered species of birds and amphibians. There are several bridge crossings and a river that runs along the hikes. Watch out for poison oak!
