It bears the name of a hermit dedicated to silence and prayer but has an origin that evokes scenarios of war and devastation. Fort San Jachiddu is just one of about twenty buildings overlooking the Strait of Messina, designed to monitor and strike the enemy in one of the strategic places in the Mediterranean. La struttura è composta da tre piani collegati da due rampe, ambedue centrali, e altre scale interne ed esterne. The complex is composed on three floors connected with two ramps and others staircases
