Union Street is lined with boutique shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. A walk along here is a great way to spend an afternoon/evening.

For shopping skip Union Square and go to Cow Hollow & the Marina District. Check out Union St. in Cow Hollow and Chestnut St. in the Marina. Also, ask locals about the Mission vs the Marina!

Cow Hollow is one of the cleanest, safest and hip neighborhoods in SF. You'll find techies, bohemian artists in this cool vibe neighborhood.

If you're in San Francisco for shopping, it's better to go shop at original places unique to SF. If so, then the shops on Union Street in Cow Hollow is your best bet. Great coffee shops as well
