The Old Courthouse museum is visible from the back courtyard and the historic downtown is just a short walk. There’s a brewery and several unique restaurants just a few blocks away in the downtown with fun shopping close by. Casinos and the National Military Park are just a short drive. Has a desk, if needed and internet provided.

Eagle Lake and nearby Lake Chotard and Albemarle Lake offer year round fishing opportunities in addition to the 100k+ acres of public hunting land all located within a 45 min drive. Some of these include Phil Bryant WMA, Sunflower WMA (Delta National Forest), Mahannah WMA, and Twin Oaks WMA.

Poverty Point Marina is located 1/2 mile north of the house. Wild Country Safari is located just a few miles north of the house and is a fun experience to enjoy with your kids. We have two docks for fishing and swimming. Relax and enjoy the sun rises and sunsets on beautiful Poverty Point Reservoir.
