York is 20 min by car. Country Houses , Sledmere, Castle Howard and Burton Agnes are all within a 30 minute drive. Family/ friends, Male or Female groups welcome. Stoney Middleton has a friendly pub, village chip shop, curry cottage and The Cupola, serving food etc. Chatsworth, Bakewell, Eyam and Grindleford are all nearby.
