Dollar General located 3 miles away & a country store with fuel 1.5 miles away. This fully furnished 2/1 currently has 1 full size & 1 queen size bed and 5’ shower(not a full tub). Smoking is allowed OUTSIDE ONLY!

Thunder Ridge —Entire House pet-friendly near NOLA

Thunder Ridge at the Forest Retreat is an adults-only pet-friendly getaway. Children may come only during specific holidays. Your house will be unlocked. Check-in is a 3 p.m. Here you are surrounded by the Homochitto National Forest. Take a picnic to the sand-bars along the pristine spring-fed creek. Hike or mountain bike on the remote forest roads. Modern meets rustic in our brand-new, three-bedroom, two-bathroom cabin with all the comforts of home. This two-story cabin was a family project from the ground up, completed in 2025. We enjoyed designing this guest house and hope you find it a rejuvenating space. The cabin is great for a refreshing weekend getaway, a home base for a work crew or home-away-from home while visiting friends in the area. Private location away from the road but less than ten minute drive to Tylertown.

The Homochitto National Forest is minutes away. Here you can enjoy hiking, biking or bird watching in the quiet while watching wildlife. We also have games & TV/DVD player hookup only. Take a day or afternoon & go looking for arrowheads, fossils & other treasures like gold rocks.

Enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking nearby. Watch for deer, wild turkeys, and excellent birdwatching. Perfect weekend getaway to destress and relax, enjoy an adventure or both!

My place is close to Okissa Lake, Clearsprings Recreational area, city of Natchez, and the Natchez Trace.. it is only 2 1/2 hours from New Orleans, or less than 2 hours from Baton Rouge. You’ll love our place because the property is located in the middle of the Homochitto National Forest. It is secluded and quiet. No plane, train, or automobile noise.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
