Dryden Cottage, Whitby Harbour - Beach side

This cottage is all about the view! Beach-side location at the base of the 199 steps - perfect for exploring the beautiful historic town of Whitby. Browse in the eclectic independent shops and sample the finest seafood in the local eateries. Walk up to the abbey, stroll along the piers and collect fossils from the beach, take a ride on the steam train to the neighbouring villages and explore the moors. Please note due to the beach side location of the cottage, there is unfortunately no parking.

Cosy Cottage Close To 199 Steps, Perfect Location

The Shoemakers Cottage has undoubtedly one of the best locations in Whitby right at the bottom of the 199 steps tucked in a quiet alley off the cobbled street. A small but cosy romantic cottage over 3 floors close to the harbour, the abbey and very close to Tate Hill Beach. BBQ and picnic basket set provided. Romantic victorian freestanding bath in the main bedroom. Arrival is down the busy cobbled church street. Best location. On-street parking scratch card provided in the W zone 10min walk.

Maritimus Cottage

A 300 year old fully modernised luxury fishermans' cottage retaining many original quirky and unique features. Located on the harbour side with a small beach and just minutes from all the old town local restaurants, bars and shops and the famous 199 steps to the abbey. Guests can enjoy fabulous views directly on to the harbour/ beach and out to sea. The accommodation comprises a comfortable open-plan lounge and kitchen, a double bedroom and a shower room. From the bedroom, there are views of the abbey and St Mary's church and it is just a 2-minute stroll down to the picturesque harbour with its independent shops and many bistros. PARKING - we provide a parking permit which allows you to park free of charge in certain areas of the town.

The apartment is situated in a Georgian-listed building in the Bagdale area of Whitby, next to the beautiful Pannett Park (with views from the bedroom window). There is a single sofa bed in the living room, accommodating up to 3 adults. (children over 5 years old due to no stair gate).
