Recently installed solar with battery ensures the cottage not only generates surplus power for the grid, but also maens power outages (v rare) are catered for. Perfect for couples. It's a good climb up from the road but the views make it worthwhile. It’s a 10 minute walk down to Rocky Bay beach and Whakanewha forest reserve is right on the doorstep. Buses go to Rocky Bay but a car is recommended for further island excursions
