If wanting to travel farther afield, public buses can be found in central Devonport or at the Devonport Ferry Terminal, or perhaps a day trip to Waiheke Island, Rangitoto Island or Auckland City via Fuller's Ferries, departing regularly from Devonport Ferry Terminal. Rose's studio apartment is above a recently built garage in a leafy street in the heritage suburb of Mt Eden. It has been decorated to a high standard and equipped with every comfort. It is fully self contained, with it's own bathroom and kitchenette. Bus stops for all the main routes are a mere 100 metres away. The vibrant Mt Eden village, with its cafes, bars and restaurants is a 10 minute walk, Eden Park 30 minutes and the Mt Eden volcanic crater, 25 minutes.

Located on the lower level of a private dwelling, this self - contained facility (including separate bathroom/toilet - upgraded Nov 2022), is situated in a private garden setting. Suitable for 2 – 3 people, the living area is bright and welcoming. An off street parking bay is available with entry to the facility only metres away. The kitchenette includes a microwave, electric jug, toaster and fridge. Introductory, tea, coffee and breakfast cereal provided.
