Situated on the crest of the Coromandel ranges on the 309 road. Mahakirau Forest Estate comprises almost 600 ha of native forest. Each site is convenated by QEII National Trust who describe Mahakirau "outstanding for it's ecology and wildlife value with brown kiwi, kaka, Hochsetetter's and Archey's frogs all present". A spacious house in a bush setting, sit back and relax, take a bush walk down to the stream on the property and star gaze at night.

Local restaurant within walking distance (Eggsentric) or you can go into Cooks Beach where we have The Vessel or Go Vinos.
