It has been sympathetically restored, combining traditional character with contemporary comfort. There are two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with two singles), bathroom (with bath and shower), and open plan lounge-kitchen downstairs. All mod cons are provided: dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer, wood-burning stove, TV.

The beautifully restored gite lies in the heart of the country but is close to the lovely historic village of Verteuil, one of the prettiest in Charente, dominated by a magnificent chateau with restaurants, wine cellar, and a small Sunday market. Lampisterie de gare

Vous dormirez dans l'ancienne lampisterie de la gare de Pérols sur Vézère. Vous aurez une vue sur notre jardin, les moutons certainement, les poules ainsi que les rails. Ces petits trains régionaux s'arrêtent 10 fois par jour et ne circulent pas pendant la nuit. Ce petit habitat a été entièrement rénové avec des matériaux de récupération. Les murs en pierre sont d'origines et donc restauré au mortier de ciment et de chaux.

The cottage overlooks and accesses the river, where swimming is possible. The hamlet is very peaceful, and the water is a great place to relax! A walk can be enjoyed from the cottage, along a path along the Vienne River. You can reach Chauvigny on foot or by bike along the trails. There are a few chickens on the grounds. Très joli studio 3* (classé par Etoiles de France en janvier 2021), au calme à la campagne avec un jardin d’1,5 hectare. Parfait pour un séjour nature dans le Périgord Noir, entre Lascaux et Sarlat. Idéal 2 adultes, spa thérapeutique privé ouvert à l'année, extérieur, non couvert, terrasse. La chambre se situant à l'étage, le logement ne convient pas aux personnes à mobilité réduite.
