Garden Flat, Ullswater: Fabulous views and reviews

Stunning views of Ullswater... Very special... Perfect... Well equipped... Spotless and clean... Fantastic host... No picture of our panoramic view can really do justice to The Garden Flat. But we hope those words from our most recent reviews do. The flat is in an elevated 19th century former hunting lodge. The Ullswater Way walking route is at the end of the drive. Down the hill is the Brackenrigg Inn, with its own microbrewery, and Another Place, with lake swimming and spa facilities.

Within easy walking distance of all Keswick's amenities & is an ideal base from which to explore this superb part of the Lake District on foot, bicycle or by car. Bright and cheerful ensuite studio flat on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Great views of Helvellyn and High Street. Lake District hikes, cycling or sightseeing within a few minutes. The local pub is a 10 minute walk and serves excellent food with other good food pubs just down the road. Guests are welcome to share use of our BBQ corner with fabulous view of the mountains.

This spacious accommodation also has a comfortable outdoor living area with gardens overlooking the river Greta. The building itself is a converted 19thC hydro-electric plant, which may lack some exterior elegance but which has recently been internally renovated and furnished in an eclectic style, with modern conveniences complementing quirky but stylish historic furniture.
