Take a stroll to the seaside Harbour Lights restaurant for seafood fare, then head to The Thirsty Oyster Tavern for a cocktail. Guests are advised to make use of car rental/uber for longer trips in and out of Gordon’s Bay, but may also enjoy walking or cycling exploring the village. Bicycles can be rented on main beach.

You’ll love my place because of the sea view, its tranquility, the garden, and its central location close to Cape Town Airport and the Winelands. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. My place is very good for couples as well as solo adventurers and - if you don’t mind sharing one open space with everyone - even for small families (with kids).

The Rigel Retreat

The Rigel Retreat is a relaxing getaway with amazing garden views which backs onto a nature reserve. The private open plan interior with an attached kitchenette. Come and stay in our peaceful studio cottage high up on Helderberg Mountain surrounded by trees and hear the owls hooting as you fall asleep! Beautiful new cottage, with it's own deck and garden and stylishly furnished to meet your every need. And now with solar installed (April 2023) we have NO LOAD-SHEDDING! We've replaced the oven and hob with a fully gas stove so all appliances can be used during load shedding!

This single studio is the ideal place for professional or solo travelers with everything they need for a short stay. The studio is in Somerset West. If you're in the area and need a comfortable place to stay without driving back to Cape Town this room will suit you. We have backup batteries to ensure you have consistent WiFi and lights available during load shedding.
