Trendy spots nearby include the parks, running trails and pools at Mueller, Alamo Drafthouse Theater, Halcyon Coffee, B.D. Riley's Irish Pub, East Austin Yoga, The kNomad Global Bar, Kirby Lane (pancakes!) and the amazing Paco's Tacos, just to name a few. The eco-friendly, HEB grocery center (.25 miles from the house) has everything from Starbucks & Liquor, to pizza & gas just moments away. There are busses which are frequented by the students in the area, and the nearest light rail is at Highland Mall just 1 mile away. However, like most of Austin, the most convenient option is to have a car. This property is used by the owner for entertaining his own family and guests. It's in tip-top shape and decked out with his personal collection of art and books and a chef's dream kitchen. Central East Austin is a diverse and dynamic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood! There is a parking spot that you are welcome to use directly in front of the house and there is also plenty of street parking with no permitting or street cleaning concerns. The closest B-Cycle station is a 15 minute walk away at Victory Grill on 11th St. Many of the 6th St restaurants and bars are a 10 minute walk as well. If you would prefer not to walk, there are a selection of ride share services such as RideAustin (our favorite), Lyft, or Uber. The street has two names, Hamilton Ave and Richard Overton Ave. Depending on your map source you may see either one pop up. Richard Overton is the oldest living American and American World War II veteran at 112 years of age. He lives down the block where be bought a house after the war ended.

One could say my space is curated with vintage finds and what it lacks it size, it makes up for it with lots of charm and personality. I am told that it has a good feeling and it's rather relaxing. I suggest you take a test ride and feel it for yourself. :) You have access to most of the space except closets and the garage. Racks are provided for hanging your clothes however, there are a couple of drawers available in bedroom one. There are keys on the key hook if you are interested in going outside to the back yard. I will be available if you need me for anything. I hope to insure all of your needs are taken care of, however if anything should arise that needs immediate attention, I will insure that someone will be there to male sure things are taken care of. The property is located n a relatively quiet neighborhood with neighbors that look out for each other. The home is less than 10 minutes from the Historic Bishop Arts District, 12 minutes to Downtown Dallas, and 20 minutes from Love Field Airport. If you walk out my door and go across the street, the DART bus stop is right there. You can take this bus all the way to downtown where you can have access to the trains. There are also bikes located downtown as well. There is free parking on the premises.
