Due to the out of the way location you ideally need transport to access the nearest shop and pub. 45 mins on foot/7 mins by car.

Walk out onto the New Forest, enjoy the scenic garden looking over fields packed with wildlife, or enjoy cycling along quiet lanes amongst grazing ponies, donkeys and cattle. Two good pubs are within 1.5 miles in either direction and the historic towns of Beaulieu and Lymington are 3 miles and 4.5 miles respectively away. The quaint historic shipyard of Bucklers Hard nearby has a museum, pub and marina. IOW close too.

Step out of the back gate and onto the bridleway leading over the downs to our favourite place, Compton Bay.

We are only 20 minutes drive from the Needles and even closer to Freshwater Bay and minutes from the Coastal Path. The ferry comes into Yarmouth from Lymington and is a short walk up the hill to our home.
