Newly refurbished and run by friendly ex-travellers, this is a great base for exploring Eastbourne, the South Downs, a wealth of historic sites and for day trips to London by direct train. Relaxed and informal, The Guesthouse East is set in a beautiful Grade II listed Regency villa just a pebble’s throw from the beach and minutes from the bars, theatres, restaurants and attractions of Eastbourne. There are seven individually-styled rooms, each designed to the highest standards with spacious bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms – plus free WiFi, TV/DVD, fluffy towels, toiletries, hairdryer, complimentary teas, coffees and even sweets. Smaller suites are twins or doubles, with larger suites accommodating up to 5 (some extra beds may be futons/sofabeds and may require friends to share a double). Six of the suites also have their own private kitchens, giving travellers much more freedom than an average guesthouse. Each kitchen has a fridge with small freezer compartment, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and pots/pans. TWIN SUITE WITH KITCHEN There are a few twin suites in The Guesthouse East, so please ask if you want to know which one is available and to view specific photos. 4* SERVICES With kitchens in most suites, you are well equipped to look after yourself. But if you’re in need of some TLC why not indulge yourself at breakfast with a home-cooked full English or Carl’s legendary porridge, or even kick back and relax with an on-site massage, facial or other pampering treatment (book in advance). And if your clothing is looking worse for wear, you can get a load of washing done. Parking is on street and you can buy special permits from Carl and Sarah for just £1 per day.

The Gem B&B Ruby Room

The Gem offers accommodation in Winchelsea Beach, 3 miles from Rye and is located on a quite unadopted road. 10 mins walk (2 mins by car) from the beach and is ideal for walkers, cyclists, wild life enthusiastics or just for a quite relaxing break. All rooms come equipped with TV, kettle, tea making facilities, fresh linen, towels and free WiFi. Breakfast is included in the price. Children or pets cannot be accommodated at this property. There is free parking for two cars on the drive.

The Paper Mill Stables

Set in the beautiful grounds of a fifteenth century Wealden hall house, The Stables is a delightful oak framed cottage - a hidden-away and peaceful haven for two. There is a sitting room with woodburner for super cosy nights in, and the pretty bedroom has a luxurious 4000 pocket sprung king size bed, and quality Egyptian cotton linen. Outside is a secluded garden with a terrace, and seventy acres of woodland and pasture to wander through; our resident Labradors will be pleased to join you!

At little Buckhurst we offer a quiet rural setting only an hour from the heart of London by car. You can walk to our local pub and local shops are close too. Down House, Hever Castle, Quebec House and many more local attractions are within a short distance as is Biggin Hill airport. Gatwick is only 30 minutes away and we can offer airport parking by arrangement. Pricing is for one bedroom or you can book 2 bedrooms for double the stated price. Continental breakfast is included.

Baron's Grange bed and breakfast: Oak room

Baron's Grange is a Grade II Georgian farmhouse with 2 guest bedrooms overlooking orchards in the village of Iden, a short drive from Rye in East Sussex. We are 40 minutes from Eurotunnel and 1 hour from Dover. Built in the 1700s, the farmhouse is full of character with oak beams and an Inglenook fireplace. There is a large garden and a conservatory. Our bedrooms are ensuite. Guests may choose either a traditional English or Continental breakfast. Ici on parle français.

Tiger - Elizabeth

This spacious double room faces the garden and views across the South Downs. En-suite bathroom includes a walk in shower. Sleeps 2 people. Prices includes a cooked breakfast plus tea, coffee and fruit juices. A TV and free Wi-Fi is available in every room. We are not able to have dogs in our B&B rooms at the Tiger Inn. Please note that there are 14 steps up to the first floor and there is no lift, however one bedroom is accessed from the terrace up a flight of 8 steps.

Castle View attic room. A green sanctuary. BnB.

My home is a charming Victorian terraced house in a quiet cul-de-sac just off Cliffe High Street with its cafés, antique shops etc. Castle View is the attic room, a light and airy dormer with ensuite, queen-sized bed, balcony and sitting area. It has its own (narrow and quite steep) staircase leading up from the first floor with a door at the bottom of the stairs. There are three bedrooms . Occasionally I rent out the whole house which sleeps six.

The Bent Arms is a charming, 16th century pub filled with character. There is a function room available to hire for all occasions, 8 Bed & Breakfast rooms and a private cottage. There is a large beer garden, free parking and well kept Badger ale. Our Chef creates delicious, quality, home cooked food at affordable prices. Food is served 12pm - 2:30pm (Monday - Sunday) and 6pm - 9pm (Monday - Saturday).
