40 minutes west of Kanata, ON in Lanark Highlands, 20 kms west of Almonte. The Gate House is a renovated 150 year old log building with 2 single beds, in floor heating, bathroom with shower & kitchenette with hot plate, toaster oven, coffee maker, small fridge & microwave, dining & sitting area. PERCHED CABIN at Mariposa Farm

The Perched cabin is one of our three cabins. We also have the Apple Tree and the Poplar cabin. This is glamping at its best. Window walls letting light into every side. A sleeping loft. Built with logs. Well equipped for cooking. Heated with woodstove - firewood included. In the middle of the forest. A lot of trails to enjoy. No neighbours. The perfect spot to unwind. We are farmers, a precise time of arrival is important. You are welcome to visit the farm.

Pine-clad walls give the space a cosy Scandinavian feel, and a small well-equipped kitchen offers the opportunity to cook at your own pace. A fire pit with all the essentials to enjoy an outdoor campfire as well as a modern wood burning hot tub give you an opportunity to unwind and enjoy an authentic outdoor experience.

PLEASE READ! This little rustic OFF GRID cabin is perfect for that quiet getaway in nature you have been needing. If you are a lover of the outdoors, this is a location for you. Fisherman and snowmobilers welcomed. No electricity or running water. We repeat, no electricity or running water! No shower, however a rustic outhouse is available - you are fancy camping. Water jugs and firewood for the wood stove and bon fire are provided.
