Supper clubs, grocery store, gas station, bowling alley, pub/restaurant only 3 miles away. Many trails, UTV, snowmobile, hiking near by. Snowmobiling trails are is top notch!

** Note - This wonderful northwoods cabin rents for a minimum of 3 consecutive nights. ** Your own private guest cabin on 6 private acres overlooking crystal clear Big Portage Lake. Sand beach, canoes, kayak, great lake views! Refrig, coffee maker, microwave and toaster, but no kitchen (great restaurants nearby). Come and go as you please. Host is usually on property, residing in main house. Kids over 8 years welcome. NO pets, jet-skis, ATVs, fireworks, loud music or powerboats, please.

The Heart of Vilas County Bike Trails and numerous Hiking trails are just minutes away. The #5 Snowmobile/ATV trail runs across the front of the property along Hwy 51 and we are surrounded by many area lakes and the Northern Highland State Forest.

Camp Lattawatta

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Camp Lattawatta (Named as there is a lot-of-water) is a nature lovers paradise offering a quiet retreat surrounded by wildlife. Amber Creek flows around the property, and a beaver dam has been built right in front of the cabin with a perfect view from inside. If you wake up early enough you might be able to spot the beavers working! Additionally, Kayaks can be rented on site to explore the surrounding creeks and marshes.

Room for parking trailers, close to snowmobile/ATV trails and snowmobile/boat rentals! We supply 2 adult kayaks, 1 children’s kayak, 2 inflatable paddle boards, and life jackets. Built in 2022/2023 this cabin is located right on the Manitowish River with 750ft of frontage right off Highway 51 about 3 miles south of Mercer and 7 miles north of Manitowish Waters. The Manitowish River runs into the Bear River which is why the resort is named Twin Rivers Resort. We are located right by the snowmobile, UTV/ATV and hiking/biking trails. You can easily visit small local towns with bars, restaurants and shopping.
