Kenny lake mercantile is located 6 miles down the road that has many amenities and convenience items as well as a hardware store(Wengers) approximately 9 miles away.

Thompson House is historic, quirky, unique and comfortable. It survived the 1964 9.2 earthquake and tsunami that caused Old Valdez to relocate to the new and present town site. An addition more than doubled the size of the original one room cabin which included an extensive remodel.
