This "zoo" was ordered to be build by the former Swedish king who wanted to preserve Swedish culture. He sent out men all over Sweden who deconstructed hundreds of houses, shipped them to "Skansen" and then re-constructed them.
Not only can you see the old Swedish architecture and relive the culture of genuine old Swedish ways - there is also a large Zoo witch showcases the Swedish fauna, wolf, wolverine, moose, elk - all the unique animals of the Nord can be found here.
Great food is also served here.
