Kødbyen is Copenhagens old meatpacking district build in the 1930’s, but as some of the butchers moved out, the Copenhagen Council around the early 2000’s decided that it could be used for other things as well. Now you will find a varity of trendy/hipster nightclubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, galleries and a gym. Personally, I love ‘Mother’, who will make you delicious Italian pizzas or KB18, if there is a good concert. I still need to try a lot of the places there – maybe you can recommend me something?
During summer weekends they usually have an outdoor streetfood market.

Now you will find a varity of trendy/hipster nightclubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, galleries and a gym. Personally, I love ‘Mother’, who will make you delicious Italian pizzas or KB18, if there is a good concert. I still need to try a lot of the places there – maybe you can recommend me something?

The old pharmacy is now a café with second hand furniture and a Berlin-kinda-feeling. They will serve you café-food all day from breakfast to dinner. At night they make good cocktails too. +Outdoor serving (but not many seats)

This used to be a closed church, but was bought by the owner of the ‘Flying Tiger’shops, who converted it into a sort of public house which opened in October 2015. All sorts of things take place there – bingo nights, ping-pong tournaments, flea markets, yoga, concerts and film screenings. Every night at 6pm people join together by the long tables there to eat. Every night is a new meal and you pay 50 dkk per person. You can also just go there and read, play a game or have a cup of coffee. The idea is to use it as your own living room. People in Copenhagen are used to cycling everywhere and not always very patient with tourists on bikes. The Copenhagen Bycykel (Citybike) are located all over the city. They are electrical and you pay as you go – its easy. There is a station right around the corner on Sønder Boulevard. You can rent a bike from there and park it in one of the other many stations around the city. http://bycyklen.dk/en/
Most bike shops also have normal bikes to rent if you prefer that.
