This is my favorite pub in London. It does great food and has a lovely vibe all year round. Inside is quaint and I could not recommend enough.

Big, warm, welcoming, traditional pub on Highgate High Street. Best range of ales and ciders. Best prices locally. Affordable meals breakfast til late.

The menu, designed by head chef Chris Payne, is a bit of a fiesta, with a strong focus on all things Spanish, including tapas dishes such as Padrón peppers, Ibérico ham and an array of paellas. If you’re after traditional pub grub, don’t fear, beer battered cod also features alongside steak or chicken pie to share. Oak panels and comfortable décor give The Gatehouse an air of somewhere you’d want to collapse for a while, with an extensive wine list and a decent array of beers and lagers on tap as well as an outdoor sun trap, nestle in for pint or two.

A pub and Theatre! a tiny theatre upstairs. Try and get a booking if you can. You won't find a more intimate venue. The pub downstairs serves the cheapest food and drink in town.
