Small state park with a great lake for swimming.

Perfect for a day hike or walk around the lake. In season swimmers abound in the lake and they stock it in early spring with trout.

Great for hiking or biking. Beach area and covered bridge as well. Peaceful, but not so much on weekends unless you go off on the trails.

One of the best parks in CT! Great walking trail on black top or use the various trails for hiking inside the park. There are two lakes, one you can swim in with a beach. Typically free admission during the week, but charge on weekends. Get a free 'senior' pass if you are 65 or older.
