If you want some new fur friends or just start to meet locals in the area this park has the best 1 mile long park with the river running alongside it. Great place near a brewery and other dog shops.

Our weekend go-to place to take the pups, Shirlington Dog Park is a very large park with gates that lead to a stream. The park has separate areas for large and small dogs to play, and is a well-maintained area with lots and lots of room for running. Shirlington Dog Park is open daily from sunrise - sunset. The park sits along four mile drive and the Washington and Old Dominion Trails.
