Technically this water/rock formation is located in a National forest but it's on the coast 101 highway between Newport and Florence. Go at high tide. It's incredible to see in person. A little over 3 hour drive time from Portland. Worth it.

A high tide stop. If you hike down, don't be overly brave. Directions From Ocean Haven: turn left out of the driveway and follow US 101 North for 5.5 miles (~7 minutes) to Devils Churn parking lot on the left.
