Surrounded by beautiful gardens, woodland and nature, the tower dates back to the 1400's. Turton Tower Woodland Cafe is a must visit with their selection of hot and cold food and delicious homemade cakes.

Turton Tower is an old Peel Tower that was later adapted into a largely timber framed house. Definitely worth having a look at, a lovely building and worth at!

Turton Tower is a house that has been evolving over the last 600 years. From a stone tower house in the 1400s to the home of the Tudor Orrell and, later, the Victorian Kay Families, Turton Tower has been altered and adapted to suit the needs and tastes of those who lived there. With a lovely volunteers garden and tea room with toilets this a great place to visit on your doorstep.

Walks and tearoom available: Turton tower is a house that has been evolving over the last 500 years. From a stone tower house in the 1400s, to the home of the Tudor Orrell and, later, the Victorian Kay Families, Turton Tower has been altered and adapted to suit the needs and tastes of those who lived here. It is because of these changes that Turton Tower is of national importance and unique in Northwest England. Today it still captures the spirit of those ages and displays some of the finest paintings and furniture in the region. Turton Tower is owned and run by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.
