Our bay was named for our local president...make sure to stop by to visit his birthplace. The foundation is currently building a recreation of his home....construction on going!

If you like history - the property you are on is part of James Monroe (our 5th president) original birthplace farm. If you turn right onto James Monroe Highway (Route 205) where our mailbox is the next entrance on the left is the James Monroe Foundations visitor center, birthplace farmhouse replica and walking paths on 70 acres of land. You can walk there is you want about half mile along road. The paths are open all year around but the visitor center and farmhouse is only open Saturday and Sunday noon - 4pm in summertime - so if you are there then defiantly worth visit.
